A public vigil Thursday evening will recognize those impacted by eating disorders.
It’s part of National Eating Disorders Awareness Week, which aims to shed light on the condition’s causes, triggers and treatments.
The vigil, which starts at 7 p.m. at the University of Nebraska Omaha Community Engagement Center, will feature presentations from those who are recovering from an eating disorder, along with a moment of silence for those who have died.
The National Eating Disorders Association offers a hotline for anyone who has questions or would like to seek treatment: 800-931-2237.
