A sexual assault of a woman stationed at Offutt Air Force Base in 2016 has led to a potential new law that would give more protection to military women who report assaults.

The measure is part of the defense bill that was passed by Congress. President Trump vetoed the defense bill, but Congress is expected to override that veto next week.
