A shooting occurred in traffic around 4:35 p.m. near 60th and L streets, leaving one critically injured.

Police told 3 News Now they expected streets in this area to be closed until around 7:30 or 8 p.m. while the incident was investigated.

Witnesses said the incident appeared to have started when a semi-truck was cut off by another vehicle. Following a confrontation, the 30-year-old driver of the truck was shot, and the other driver sped away from the scene, witnessed said.

A Children's Hospital nurse performed CPR on the victim, witnesses said, before he was taken to the hospital. Police confirmed one man was transported to Bergen Mercy with critical injuries.

Two vehicle dash cams will likely be used in the investigation of this incident; one on a vehicle not involved in the incident, and another on an OMNI bus that was nearby at the time.

Several witnesses were taken to OPD headquarters following the incident.
