SIDNEY, Iowa (KMTV) - A Sidney man was arrested Saturday, charged with attempted murder and willful injury with a weapon.
The Fremont County Sheriff's Office says they responded to a home in the 100 block of Main Street just after 6 p.m. Saturday following a call for a woman being assaulted.
Deputies say the woman told them she was strangled and hit with a hammer. According to deputies, the woman was bleeding from the head when they arrived.
Dave Allen Keeton, 43, was taken into custody without incident and booked at the Fremont County Jail with a $25,000 cash bond.
The woman was brought to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
