Southwest Omaha apartment parking lot burglarized overnight

“I work nights and I got home around 5 o’clock this morning and when I parked my car I noticed two or three garage doors open,” said resident Terry Fuller.

When the sun came up Cimarron Hills resident Terry Fuller made a frustrating discovery.

“Well then I could look-up there and said oh wow, there are a lot of doors open,” said Fuller.

Fuller called 911.  His apartment complex near 96th and Berry Street had been burglarized.

“I don't like anybody stealing, you feel like you're being violated,” said Fuller.

Police say multiple garages were broken into overnight.  Some were empty, others were full.  At least four cars were also targeted.

“They had the decency to leave some random dollar bills,” said resident Paige Combs.

The early morning discovery left resident Paige Combs in tears.

“I just lost my mind. I started bawling I was so mad,” said Combs.

The waitress left her purse and hundreds of dollars in cash in her car overnight.

For resident Roland Ouedroldo he isn’t just frustrated, he is fed up.  Wednesday morning was Déjà vu.

“This is the fourth time my car has been broken into,” said Ouedroldo.

Ouedroldo says in the three years he has lived in his apartment his car has been broken into multiple times.  He has asked management to get cameras, but that hasn’t happened.

“I’m leaving. I hope this is the last time this happens, but after my contract is up I’m gone,” said Ouedroldo.

Cimarron Hills management declined to comment on the incident.  Police ask anyone with information to please call Crime Stoppers at 402-444-STOP.
