OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — With senior year approaching and many students graduating from high school, college is on the horizon. For those having a hard time deciding where they want to go, a new study by financial advising group Smart Asset may be able to help.
In their study, they looked at a number of items to determine which institutions of higher learning offer the best value for students.
The items Smart Asset looked at include:
- Tuition
- Student living costs
- Scholarship and grant offerings
- Retention rate
- Starting salary after college
Based on those factors they made a list of the top nine colleges and universities in Nebraska.
The group says Bellevue University took the top spot for the second time in the last three years.
Three of the top nine spots were claimed by universities in the Metro.
