Suspect in double homicide turns himself in

The man Omaha police have been searching for in connection to a double homicide on Sunday night has reportedly turned himself in.

KMTV reporter Deborah Tuff reports that Dontevous Loyd turned himself in after posting on Facebook, "I'm here". He surrendered without incident in the Douglas County Jail parking lot around 5:30 a.m.

Police believe Loyd shot and killed 22-year-old Destacia Straughn and her 2-year-old daughter. Three other people shot at the Bluffs at the Cherry Hill Apartments near 107th and Ida on Sunday night were sent to the hospital.
