As a person of interest admits to killing Sydney Loofe, the Nebraska branch of the FBI says it is continuing its death investigation.

Over the weekend, Aubrey Trail told a Lincoln tv station he was responsible for her death. He says Loofe died early in the morning in mid-November.

Loofe's body was discovered in rural Clay County in early December. Police said at the time they were able to find her through digital footprints.

"I killed Sydney Loofe and am fully responsible for her death," Trail said over the phone from Leavenworth Detention Center in Kansas.

Trail continued to maintain his roommate and other person of interest, Bailey Boswell, was not involved.

"Bailey Boswell had nothing to do with her death. She was in the house when it happened, but was not in the room when Sydney died."

Trail also told KOLN his home in Wilber, Neb., was a place where people could live out their fantasies and women were paid a weekly allowance.

"If someone wanted to make thousands of dollars they could agree to let someone play out their fantasy with them," Trail said. "Fantasies paid from $500 to 10,000 cash."

Both Boswell and Trail are being held on federal fraud charges unrelated to the Loofe investigation.
