Terroristic threats investigated in Eagle by Nebraska State Patrol

EAGLE, Neb. (KMTV) — The Omaha Police helicopter joined crews from several agencies dealing with what appeared to be a standoff in Eagle, NE.

Authorities were searching for a man accused of making terroristic threats around 6:20 p.m. Monday.

Police cruisers surrounded a house, a car dealership and a convenience store for hours.

Nebraska State Patrol shut down highway 34 in both directions in the town, which is about 15 miles east of Lincoln.

After several hours, a SWAT team executed a search warrant.

Authorities found a cell phone and a handgun, but no suspect.

The investigation is ongoing.
