A single-vehicle crash on eastbound West Dodge Road at 96th Street caused some delays as the lunch-hour began Monday.
The driver of a car was taken to the hospital after the vehicle ran into a metal street pole.

“We do not know the cause of the accident at this time. Our dispatchers did provide some information that he, the driver himself had called 911 and described some sort of problem with his vehicle, but by the time officers had arrived on scene he had already crashed,” said Battalion Chief Kathy Bossman, with the Omaha Fire Department.
An accident investigator and Omaha Public Power District also responded to the scene.
