Suspect arrested in connection to shooting that left one dead

The Omaha Police Department said an arrest has been made in connection to a shooting that left one person injured and another dead.

The suspect, 22-year-old Brevin Fleming, was booked at Douglas County Corrections for first-degree murder, first-degree felony assault and two counts of use of a weapon to commit a felony.

OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) - The Omaha Police Department is investigating a Saturday afternoon shooting that left two people injured.

Police say they responded to a Shotspotter activation near 3318 N. 24th Street just after 4 p.m.

Officers found two victims with apparent gunshot injuries, 22-year-old Jumeez Sherman and 21-year-old Desmond Edwards.

Sherman was brought to Nebraska Med with critical, potentially life-threatening injuries. Edwards had non-life threatening injuries.
