Omaha Police officials say that two women are hurt in a crash that occurred on EB I-80 near Q St on Tuesday morning.
OPD officials say at around 8:46 am, they responded to crash on EB I-80 at mile market 444.
According to the OPD,a 2004 Ford Explorer was stopped on the shoulder of I-80 Eastbound.
An eastbound 2013 Toyota pickup failed to maintain its lane and struck the stopped Ford. Officials say both vehicles left the roadway and eventually came to rest in the grass shoulder.
Both drivers were taken to NE Medicine Er with serious non-life threatening injuries by OFD Medics.
OPD identified the two people injured as 46-year-old Heather J Stufft and 30-year-old Tiffany M Easterling.
Officials say Stufft admitted to getting a hands-free phone call just prior to the accident and doesn't remember anything afterwards.
Charges are pending.
The I-80 eastbound Q St exit ramp was restricted by one lane while the crash was being investigated. The roadway was completely reopened around after 11:00 am
