OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — The Omaha Police Department says two people suffered stabbing/cutting wounds in an incident at an Omaha apartment complex. A witness at the scene said he saw a woman and a baby, both covered in blood, taken from the scene.

Authorities apprehended a suspect, who is receiving treatment from unknown injuries.

A resident, Detwone Smith, who lives in the building tells us he saw a man jump from the third story window of his apartment.

Smith says when police arrived on scene they knocked down the door and took a female and baby, both covered in blood, to the hospital.
Police have identified the victims as 64-year-old Ma NU and one-year-old Lily HTAW. They say both victims were transported to Nebraska Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
A possible suspect was located nearby, with ankle injuries from jumping out of a third-story window, and also transported to Nebraska Medical Center.
They say charges are pending and the investigation is ongoing.
