OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — In light of coronvirus concerns, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln has announced an extended closure in addition to spring break and alternative classroom options.

Classes from March 16-20 are canceled and after spring break, beginning on March 30, "classes will be taught remotely and will not be taught in-person."

Housing units will remain open and students are encouraged to return home if possible.

The University Libraries will remain open but some services and hours may be limited.

Travel for "non-essential university-sponsored domestic and international travel through the end of the semester" is canceled as well as study-abroad programs through June 30.
