The Omaha City Council will get a briefing Friday on the Buffett Cancer Center from the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
City officials will meet at the UNMC Durham Research Center for the briefing.
The Fred and Pamela Buffett Cancer Center is slated to open in 2017.
