OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Omaha’s largest university welcomed students back for the fall semester.
The University of Nebraska-Omaha held their first day of classes on Monday.
UNO says about half of classes are online and half are in person. Masks are required inside buildings, and social distancing recommendations are all over.
They’re also only allowing six people in UNO campus shuttles.
Students say it makes them feel better about coming back.
“These measures definitely make me feel a little bit more comfortable coming to school and I’m just thankful that most of the people are actually putting them in place,” said Maria Garcia, a Junior at UNO.
Everyone has to use “One Check,” a self screening app before coming to campus.
