We now know the cause of a deadly crash near 120th and Miami Wednesday night around 9:30 p.m.
Omaha Police said 19-year-old Deangelo Peak was speeding when he lost control and hit a tree. His passenger, 20-year-old Marcus Haney died on the scene.
Peak was treated for non-life threatening, but serious injuries.
“There is some ice that is some slick conditions. People should drive slow down,” said Omaha Police Sgt. Jason Menning. “It is winter time, it almost first of the year it rained today and then became warm, so yeah, there was some slick sports.”
Police want to find a person driving a Maroon Audi A-4, they may have been a witness.
