A man is spotted trying to steal a car as it is running in the driveway of a man's northeast Omaha home - and it was all caught on surveillance video.
Kevin shared the video on YouTube recently, saying the attempted theft happened Tuesday morning.
He says he was getting his children ready for school when he heard a car drive by and went to the window to look.
That’s when he says he saw a man walking by and considered it strange because there isn’t much foot traffic in the neighborhood.
His home security system cameras were rolling as the man appeared to try the door handles of his car while it was warming up, only to discover it was locked.
Kevin says he hasn’t reported the incident to police yet, but the video is a sharp reminder to be vigilant against thieves.
