If you were awake early enough, you might've heard thundersnow as a snowstorm began pushing through the Omaha metro early Tuesday morning.
The National Weather Service Omaha office even posted on Twitter that it was "jealous of everyone seeing thundersnow this morning."
According to the National Severe Storms Laboratory, thundersnow is defined as lighting occurring within a snowstorm.
