Warmer temperatures help crews repair potholes

Posted

With a warm-up expected this week, Omaha city crews will be able to better repair potholes.

On Tuesday, 20 employees from the Parks Division will join the Public Works Department to fix potholes using hot asphalt instead of a cold patch, the city says.

That means each of the department’s five locations will have three to four crews working on the city’s streets.

Omaha residents are reminded to report problem potholes by calling the Mayor’s Hotline at 402-444-5555.
