OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — A judge has signed paperwork to issue an arrest warrant for Jacob Gardner in relation to the shooting death of James Scurlock.

On Tuesday, Gardner was indicted by a grand jury on charges of manslaughter, use of a firearm, attempted first-degree assault and terroristic threats in relation to Scurlock's death.

The request to issue an arrest warrant came from the Special Investigator from the Office of the Special Prosecutor for Douglas County, and cited the decision by the Grand Jury as the justification for issuing an arrest warrant.

At this time, Gardner is not listed as an inmate at the Douglas County Department of Corrections.

This is a developing story, we will provide more information as it becomes available.
