OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Omaha recycling collection is suspended Friday, May 31st and Saturday, June 1 to allow Waste Management to focus on garbage and yard waste collection.
Waste Management says it's experiencing an increased amount of yard waste and garbage due to the Memorial Day Holiday and the hailstorm earlier this week.
The wet conditions at the landfill are also a contributing factor.
If your recycling is not picked up this week, Waste Management aims to collect it next week.
Recycling collection will not resume until Monday, June 10th for those who live in the area east of 72nd Street.
The company aims to be back on regular collection schedule for garbage and yard waste on Monday.
