Waterloo boy rescued from West Shores Lake has died

Douglas County officials say the boy that was pulled from West Shores Lake next Saturday has died.

The boy was identified as 3-year-old Aspen Seemann of Waterloo.

Officials say an autopsy is scheduled on Friday morning.

The investigation is still ongoing.

The Memorial services for  Seemann  will take place at St. Patrick's Church of Elkhorn on Monday,  from 5pm-7pm. 

Officials say the funeral will be on Tuesday at 10am at St. Patrick's Church of Elkhorn

In lieu of flowers, officials are asking the public to direct all memorials to the Waterloo Fire Department or Children’s Hospital & Medical Center in Omaha.
