A woman is charged in connection with a deadly shooting earlier this month.
The Omaha Police Department says investigators have arrested 26-year-old Secretia Benton as an accessory to a felony in the murder of Jarrell Haynes.
No other new details about the investigation were released.
Haynes, 22, was shot and killed on Wednesday, March 2, just hours after he tried to attend the trial of Charles Trotter, but was turned away because he didn’t have proper identification, according to police.
They say he got into an altercation with someone else at the Douglas County Courthouse for another matter in the entry area of the building.
Police say the investigation into his murder is on-going.
