OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — The body of a 22-year-old woman was found near a fully submerged vehicle in Carter Lake early Wednesday, according to Omaha Police.
Around 12:50 a.m., authorities were on routine patrol near the intersection of Locust St and Carter Lake Shore Dr when they saw a fully submerged vehicle in the lake.
The Omaha Fire Department was notified and assembled a team to check the vehicle.
The 22-year-old was found dead near the vehicle as it was being pulled out of the water.
