The featured entertainer for the opening ceremonies of the College World Series has been announced.
The indie rock band X Ambassadors will be the headliner at the opening ceremonies at TD Ameritrade Park in downtown Omaha June 17th. X Ambassadors have appeared in television, film, and national advertising campaigns.
Events begin in the morning with team practices followed by team autograph sessions. The CWS Fan Fest outside the stadium also opens June 17 and will feature interactive games, photo opportunities, prizes and entertainment.The evening's opening ceremonies will include Olympic-style team introductions, the U.S. Army Golden Knights parachute team, the X Ambassadors' performance and fireworks.
The opening ceremonies highlight the activities in and around the stadium the day before the CWS starts. All activities are free.
