Candidates for U.S. Senate discussed their views on taxes in the United States at a debate at the Nebraska State Fair.
Democratic challenger Jane Raybould said she would have supported the Republicans tax bill if it had offered more cuts for small businesses and the American middle class and fewer cuts for wealthier Americans.
Fischer said she is happy she supported the bill because it put more money in the pockets of Nebraskans and it is pro-growth. Fischer also said it has inspired an 18-year high in consumer confidence.
