NOBLESVILLE, Indiana — Jason Seaman, the hero teacher who stopped a school shooter at Noblesville West Middle School in May, returned to meet his class on their last day of school Friday.

A student in the class tweeted a photo of the group with Seaman on Friday. All the students were wearing T-shirts that said "N WEST."

Police say Seaman, 29, tackled a student who started firing in his classroom on the morning of May 25. He was shot three times during the incident, but released from the hospital the next day.

The student, Peyton Townsend, tweeted the photo with the words, "Glad to be with period 2 again!"

Friday evening, Seaman was honored with a standing ovation at the Indianapolis Indians game.
