Blizzard buries east coast landmarks under bed of snow
A historic nor'easter blew through the east coast on Monday evening and into Tuesday, covering some of America's most iconic landmarks under a blanket of snow. In Washington, DC, maintenance workers cleared snow away from pathways and roads in front of the White House. In New York, workers on Wall Street faced a treacherous commute into the stock exchange. And in Chicago, landmarks like the Cloud Gate took on new shapes under the fresh layer of powder.
