OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium announced the latest animal pregnancy on Thursday morning.
One of its giraffes, Zola, is expecting. Zoo officials shared their excitement and some details earlier Thursday.
“We get to take care of everything from butterflies to elephants," said Dr. Taylor Law, senior veterinarian at Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium. "So, giraffes are one of our larger patients, and births are always really exciting and a little bit terrifying from our perspective."
This will be Zola's first baby and she is due around mid-March.
