WASHINGTON (KMTV) - Sen. Deb Fischer and her husband Bruce have both tested negative for coronavirus.
Fischer made the announcement on Twitter on Sunday.
Fischer was in attendance at the Rose Garden during a recent ceremony for Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett.
A number of other people at that event, including President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump, later tested positive for coronavirus.
Fischer was seen wearing a mask in photos from the ceremony.
Sen. Ben Sasse was at the event but also tested negative. He will work remotely from his home in Nebraska for the time being while undergoing further testing.
Fischer added her prayers are with everyone affected by coronavirus.
Bruce and I are grateful that we have both tested negative for COVID-19. Our prayers are with @realdonaldtrump, @FLOTUS and everyone who is affected by this virus.
