This time of year is traditionally slower for home builders, but non profit build Omaha is keeping them busy and serving the community, by offering a holiday home tour of seven houses.
"As a builder, so many times people want to know 'where can I put the Christmas tree?' This is one of the first chances that they can walk into a model house and say 'oh that's where the christmas tree goes," said Eric Lakeman, Build Omaha board member.
The homes are from various developers in Sarpy and Douglas county.
They'll be open from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Nov. 20 and 21 and Sunday and Nov. 22 from 1 to 6 p.m.
Admission is a $10 donation or an unwrapped toy. All proceeds go to Habitat for Humanity of Omaha and Child Saving Institute.
