A nonprofit in Omaha is helping poets find their voice.

The Nebraska Writers Collective has worked with everyone from artists to prisoners, working professionals to kids.

This month is random acts of kindness month.

These students at north high are getting ready for an event called random acts of poetry.

One that goes far beyond something written on pen and paper.

Random acts of poetry is at the Kaneko at 11th and Jones this Saturday from 2:00-3:30 pm. It's free. Something if you're looking for an artsy alternative to the cold at the Husker game.

Lindsey Theis has more details.
