Posted
Forget Kansas and the Emerald City, the North American tour of the new stage adaptation of the Wizard of Oz has come to the Orpheum Theater.

Developed from the popular MGM screenplay, this new production contains the beloved Harold Arlen and E.Y. Harburg songs from the Oscar®-winning movie score, plus new songs by Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber.

Wednesday night Omaha Performing Arts is also celebrating men and women of the armed forces and their families the Heroes' Night performance at 7:30 p.m. A select group of local Gold Star Families and Blue Star Families will receive complimentary tickets to the Heroes' Night performance, and a discount has been extended to all members of the military for the performance.

Tickets, starting at $25 each, are available by going online at TicketOmaha.com. Heroes Night tickets will be available for a 35% off discount for military members and their families when a military ID is presented at the Ticket Omaha box office inside the Holland Center, 1200 Douglas St.

The show runs from Tuesday, December 8, through Sunday, December 13.
