OMAHA, NE — They have been running, talking, and building friendships for 40 years.
A group of men, known as The Running Men, has been meeting at various locations around Omaha for years. Most of them started out in their 30s and 40s, and now the group of 13 that still get together are in their 60s, 70s, and 80s. These days they meet on Saturday mornings to run around Zorinsky Lake.
The Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce is about to feature them in its online blog and also send out a story about them around the country, to highlight both the group and the many areas around Omaha that are great for running enthusiasts.
3 News Now photojournalist Adam LaRose caught up with the group this Saturday morning to learn about what keeps them running and keeps them together after all these years.
