Omaha-native Terence Crawford has found his next opponent. According to a report by ESPN, the junior welterweight titleholder will take on Viktor Postol in a unification bout on July 23 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The event will headline an HBO pay-per-view card, the first PPV event for either fighter.
Crawford signed the deal two weeks ago, while Postol signed Monday, finalizing the deal. Crawford and Postol are known as the two best 140-pound fighters in the world.
Crawford and Postol both hold 28-0 records. Crawford holds the advantage with 20 knockouts, while Postol has just 12. Crawford won the 2014 Fighter of the Year award and is the former lightweight champion.
