According to a report from GoldandBlack.com, Darrell Hazell is out as head coach of the Purdue Boilermakers. Hazell has had a less-than-stellar career at Purdue, managing to win just nine of his 42 games at the helm.

The firing comes the day after Purdue lost 49-35 to Iowa on homecoming. The Boilermakers are 3-3 on the season, with losses coming from Cincinnati, Maryland and Iowa.
The Huskers will face off against an interim head coach Saturday when Purdue comes to Memorial Stadium. Last season, Purdue handed Nebraska a 55-45 loss last season to give Darrell Hazell his first Big Ten win at home.
Nebraska takes on Purdue Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
