TCU took a big step forward toward capturing its first College World Series title.
The Horned Frogs bested Coastal Carolina 6-1 on Tuesday night to remain undefeated in the College World Series on a beautiful night in Omaha.

TCU designated hitter Luken Baker continued his strong College World Series showing with an opposite-field home run in the second inning.

Coastal Carolina starting pitcher Alex Cunningham kept the Chanticleers in the game. He only allowed one earned run in 4 1/3 innings.

But the defense hurt Coastal Carolina. Zach Remillard had an error trying to start a double play in the fifth inning. Two runs scored for TCU that inning, including one on a bases-loaded walk.

Coastal Carolina put together a run in the sixth when G.K. Young roped a single to center. The Chanticleers looked as if they might build a rally.

But TCU pitchers Brian Howard and Ryan Burnett did not allow any more runs. TCU tacked on two more in the ninth with the help of a Michael Landestoy triple.
