OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Michigan jumped out to a 4-0 lead then hung on to beat Texas Tech, 5-3, on Saturday in the opening game of the 2019 College World Series. The victory marked the Wolverines' first win at the CWS since 1983.
Jimmy Kerr hit a two-run triple that gave Michigan a 3-0 lead in the 4th inning.
The Wolverines improved to 47-20 on the season & will now face the Florida State/Arkansas winner on Monday at 6 p.m. on ESPN.
