The defending National Champion Florida Gators punched their ticket to the 2018 College World Series late Monday night. Florida heads into the College World Series with a 47-19 record and one of the nation's top pitching staffs.

How they got here: Florida made its way out of the Regionals with wins against Columbia (13-5), Jacksonville (3-2) and Florida Atlantic (5-2).
The Gators met up with fellow SEC opponent Auburn in the Super Regional round. The Gators took game one in a dominant 8-2 showing, but dropped game two 3-2. Game three went into extra innings, where Florida's Austin Langworthy hit a wild walk-off home run in the bottom of the 11th inning to send the Gators back to Omaha.
History: The Gators have been to the CWS 12 times in the program's history, but won its first ever title last year. Florida took down LSU in the championship series in two games, 4-3 and 6-1 in 2017.
Who to watch for: Junior RHP Brady Singer was one of the nation's top prospects in the 2018 MLB Draft and was selected 18th overall by the Kansas City Royals.
Singer was named a finalist for the 2018 Golden Spikes award after finishing his junior year with a 2.31 ERA over 15 appearances and starts. Singer struck out 107 hitters while walking just 21 hitters and averaged 6.75 innings per start.
When they play: Florida will match up with Texas Tech at 6 p.m. Sunday night. The game will be televised live on ESPN 2.
