On a chilly Sunday afternoon at TD Ameritrade Park, Creighton baseball cruised to a 12-7 win over Evansville, good for a series sweep over the Purple Aces. The win extended the Bluejays' winning streak to six games.
Creighton jumped out to a 12-1 lead over Evansville, thanks in part to a solo home run from Will Robertson in the top of the third, making it 3-1 at that point. CU's starter Sunday afternoon, Mitch Ragan, delivered on the mound as well, allowing just one run on three hits in five innings of work.
Creighton continued its strong start to the season, as the Jays improved to 16-6 overall. CU now gets ready for a busy week ahead, as the Bluejays play five games in the next seven days, starting Tuesday on the road at Kansas.
