Creighton Upsets No. 14 St. John's

After trailing 2-0 heading into the bottom of the fourth, freshman Clark Brinkman's three-run triple in the inning sparked the Bluejays to a 7-4 win over No. 14 St. John's. Creighton evened the series against the Red Storm, moving to 9-16 overall this season and 1-1 in Big East play.

Riley Landuyt added some insurance runs for CU in the seventh, hitting a double to the gap in left that scored Thomas Luevano and Michael Emodi to make it 7-3.

Creighton's starting pitcher, Jeff Albrecht tossed a career high eight innings, throwing 105 pitches to pick up his fourth win this season.

The Bluejays and Red Storm face off in the rubber match of the three-game set Sunday afteroon at 12 p.m. at TD Ameritrade Park.
