CORVALLIS, Ore. (KMTV) — The Creighton baseball team jumped out to a 3-0 lead then hung on to eliminate last year's national champion Oregon State, 4-1, on Saturday in Corvallis.
The Jays will face the loser of the Michigan/Cincinnati game on Sunday starting at 2 p.m.
CU got on the board in the top of the 3rd when Isaac Collins hit a solo home run to put Creighton up 1-0. Later in the inning, Jack Strunc hit an RBI single scoring Jake Holton and Will Robertson.
The Jays improved to 39-12 on the season, while the Beavers ended their year with a 36-20-1 record.
