Creighton University officials say they will work with investigating agencies after the father of a former basketball recruit alleged his son got offered $100,000 to sign with the Jays.
In federal court yesterday, Brian Bowen Sr. revealed the allegations. He said Creighton assistant Preston Murphy offered him a lucrative job in addition to the money. His son, Brian Bowen Jr., ultimately selected Louisville, who is also accused of paying him.
An FBI investigation into Bowen's recruitment lead to the firing of head coach Rick Pitino.
In a statement, Creighton said it takes the allegations very seriously. The program has not been contacted by the FBI or NCAA.
