OMAHA (KMTV) — The Creighton men's basketball team jumped out to a double-digit first half lead & didn't let up beating Marquette on Wednesday in the Big East opener, 92-75.
The Jays improved to 12-2 overall and 1-0 in conference play.
Mitch Ballock led CU with a game-high 24 points, while Ty-Shon Alexander added 21.
Creighton held Markus Howard, the nation's leading scorer averaging 26 points per game, to just 18 on Wednesday.
The Jays head to Butler on Saturday starting at 11 a.m. on FS1.
