Creighton takes defending national champ to overtime, but falls to Villanova

PHILADELPHIA (KMTV) — The injury-riddled Creighton men's basketball team took defending national champ Villanova to overtime, but couldn't quite come through as the Wildcats beat the Bluejays on Wednesday night, 66-59. CU had to play without leading scorer Ty-Shon Alexander, who suffered a knee injury in practice on Tuesday. Davion Mintz scored 19 points in the loss.

The Jays fell to 13-10 overall & 4-6 in the BIG EAST. CU is at Seton Hall on Saturday night starting at 7 p.m. on CBS Sports Network.
