Creighton basketball's Marcus Foster has been named to the Midseason Top 25 for the John R. Wooden Award. The Wooden Award is college basketball's most prestigious individual honor.
The senior guard leads Creighton in scoring with an average of 19 points per game and leads the nation's active players with 662 career field goals. Foster also ranks fifth in the nation with 1,838 career points.
The Jays are coming off of an 85-74 win over Butler in which Foster scored 21 points in the first half, finishing with 23.
The Wooden Award Midseason Top 25 list will be featured on ESPN2 tonight at 12 a.m.
Foster and the Jays will be in action again Saturday on the road against No. 10 Xavier. Tipoff for that game is scheduled for 1 p.m.
