Creighton rallies from ten down to beat St. John's

Creighton improves to 2-1 in conference play and 12-3 overall after a 78-71 win over St. John's. Four Bluejays finished in double figures, senior Marcus Foster led the team with 25 points.

Throughout the first half the Bluejays and Red Storm fought back and forth for the lead. After taking a seven point lead towards the end of the first half Creighton allowed St. John's to make it a tie game at 36-36 with just over two minutes left in the first half. St. John's went on a 14-0 run to take a 43-36 lead at half.

Creighton came within three points nearly halfway through the second half and took a 59-56 lead with a dunk and one by Martin Krampelj. The Jays led to a 66-60 lead with a little over six minutes on the clock but let the Red Storm sneak up, coming within just one point with 2:35 on left in the game. With just 15 seconds on the clock Khyri Thomas knocked down a three-pointer to give the Jays a 76-71 lead.
