Shooting woes stump Creighton men's basketball against Oklahoma

OMAHA, Neb. — It was a tough shooting night for Creighton as they lose on the road to Oklahoma 83-70.

Leading scorer for the Jays Ty-Shon Alexander didn't hit a shot until 12:17 left in the second half. He finished with nine points. Mitch Ballock who has been lighting up the scorebaord recently for Creighton finished with zero points.

Creighton went just 7-30 from the three point line in this game. They came into the contest ranked first in three point shooting percentage,

The Jays were just 5 of 14 from the free throw line as well.

Oklahoma's Brady Manek put up 18 points, hitting timely shots to lead the Sooners to victory.

The Jays got down by as many as 16 points, but were able to get it to as close as seven in the second half.

Creighton hosts Coe College inside the CHI Health Center on Thursday at 7 p.m.
