The NCAA Women's Volleyball Tournament Selection Show took place on Sunday night, and both Creighton and Nebraska earned national seeds and will host matches in the tournament.
After claiming its fourth straight Big East Tournament Championship on Saturday, Creighton is now set to host in the NCAA tournament for the first time in program history. The Jays earned the number nine national seed.
CU is back in the tournament for the sixth straight season and earned the Jays' second-ever national seed. The Bluejays host Coastal Carolina at D.J. Sokol Arena Friday night at 7 p.m.
Nebraska will also host in the tournament, as the Huskers earned the number five national seed, but Sunday night was met with a little bit of disappointment for the back-to-back Big Ten champions.
NU was left outside the top four national seeds in the NCAA tournament, which is important because in the tournament, the top four seeds can host leading up all the way until the Final Four.
The Huskers will also be in action on Friday night for their opening round match, as NU hosts Stony Brook at the Devaney Center at 7 p.m.
